Four players including Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill are facing the threat of arrest. In fact, these players may be arrested in the case of Rs 450 crore chit fund scheme.
Shubman Gill and three other players of Gujarat Titans may be arrested in the Rs 450 crore chit fund scheme case. Gujarat CID branch has sent summons to four players in this case. These include the names of Shubman Gill, Rahul Tewatia, Mohit Sharma and Sai Sudarshan. According to the information, the names of these players have come to light during the interrogation of Bhupendra Singh Jala, the main accused in the fraud.
According to the investigating officers, Shubhman Gill had invested Rs 1.95 crore in this chit fund scheme. Apart from him, Sai Sudarshan, Rahul Tewatia and Mohit Sharma had also invested in this fraudulent scheme.
CID may take strict action soon
In this case, the CID has arrested Rasik Mehta, who kept accounts of Bhupendra Singh Jala. According to media reports, if the allegations against Rasik Mehta are proved, then the CID can take strict action soon. For this, the CID has started investigating bank accounts and informal transactions. Under this, they have seized checkbooks and passbooks. On Monday, CID officials conducted continuous raids at different places.
Amount of Rs 450 crore
Officials have revealed that the entire case was worth about Rs 6,000 crore, but after investigation the amount came down to Rs 450 crore. According to the statement of CID officials, Jala was looking after an informal account, which has now been taken over by the CID. Transactions worth Rs 52 crore have been found in this account book, which has estimated the amount of this case to be Rs 450 crore. As the raids and investigations progress, the amount involved in this case may increase further.
