Maha Kumbh Special Train- A gift from West Central Railway, special train will run for devotees
A total of 08 pairs of special trains originating from West Central Railway are being operated, providing a total of 334 trips for Maha Kumbh Mela.
MAHAKUMBH SPECIAL TRAIN NEWS: In view of the additional passenger traffic on the occasion of Maha Kumbh Mela, the railway administration is running special trains for the convenience of passengers. In this series, a total of 08 pairs of special trains originating from West Central Railway are being operated, providing a total of 334 trips for the Maha Kumbh Mela. The details of Kumbh Mela special trains operated by West Central Railway are as follows.
1. Rani Kamlapati-Banaras-Rani Kamlapati Special Train (12 services)
Train No. 01661 Bi-weekly Special train will leave Rani Kamlapati every Monday and Thursday from 16.01.2025 to 20.02.2025 at 11:10 am and reach Banaras at 10:15 am the next day. (06 services)
Train No. 01662 Bi-weekly Special train will leave Banaras every Tuesday and Friday from 17.01.2025 to 21.02.2025 at 14:45 pm and reach Rani Kamlapati at 11:30 am the next day. (06 services)
Stoppages:- Mandideep, Obedullaganj, Budni, Narmadapuram, Itarsi, Sohagpur, Pipariya, Gadarwara, Kareli, Narsinghpur, Shridham, Madanmahal, Jabalpur Junction, Deori, Sihora Road, Katni Junction, Jhukehi, Maihar, Satna Junction, Jaitwar, Majhgawan, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Mirzapur and Chunar.

2. Sogaria-Banaras-Sogaria Special Train (14 services)
Train number 09801 / 09802 is running 07-07 trip special train between Sogaria-Banaras-Sogaria. This train will run from Sogaria station twice a week on Tuesday and Friday between 17 January to 21 February and from Banaras station twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday between 18 January to 22 February.
This special train has a total of 22 coaches including 5 sleeper, 4 third AC, 7 third AC economy, 2 second AC, 2 general class coaches, 1 SLR and 1 generator car.
Stoppages:- Anta, Baran, Atru, Chhabra Gugor, Ruthiyai, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Mungawali, Malkhedi, Khurai, Naryavali, Sagar, Girwar, Ganeshganj, Patharia, Damoh, Rethi, Katni, Jhukehi, Maihar, Satna, Jaitwar, Majhgawan, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Mirzapur, Chunar.
3. Fair Special Train between Rewa-Manikpur (32 services)
Train number 08248 Rewa-Manikpur unreserved fair special train will depart from Rewa station at 06:45 am from 12 January 2025 to 15 January 2025 (04 trips), 28 January 2025 to 30 January 2025 (03 trips), 02 February 2025 to 04 February 2025 (03 trips), 11 February 2025 to 13 February 2025 (03 trips) and 25 February 2025 to 27 February 2025 (03 trips) and will reach Manikpur station at 10:15 am on the same day. (Total 16 trips)
Similarly, train number 08247 Manikpur-Rewa unreserved fair special train will depart from Manikpur station at 11:15 am from 12 January 2025 to 15 January 2025 (04 trips), 28 January 2025 to 30 January 2025 (03 trips), 02 February 2025 to 04 February 2025 (03 trips), 11 February 2025 to 13 February 2025 (03 trips) and 25 February 2025 to 27 February 2025 (03 trips) and will reach Rewa station at 14:30 pm on the same day. (Total 16 trips)
Stoppages:- Turki Road, Baghai Road, Hinouta Ramban, Kaima, Jaitwar and Majhgawan
4. Unreserved Mela Special Train between Banda-Katni (44 services)
Train No. 01813 Banda-Katni Unreserved Mela Special train will depart from Banda station at 19:10 pm from 12 January 2025 to 16 January 2025 (05 trips), 28 January 2025 to 05 February 2025 (09 trips), 11 February 2025 to 14 February 2025 (04 trips) and 25 February 2025 to 28 February 2025 (04 trips) and will reach Katni station at 05:15 am the next day. (Total 22 trips) Similarly, train number 01814 Katni-Banda unreserved fair special train will depart from Katni station at 07:00 am from 13 January 2025 to 17 January 2025 (05 trips), from 29 January 2025 to 06 February 2025 (09 trips), from 12 February 2025 to 15 February 2025 (04 trips) and from 26 February 2025 to 01 March 2025 (04 trips) and will reach Banda station at 14:50 pm on the same day. (Total 22 trips)
Stoppages:- Dingwah, Khurhand, Atarra, Badausa, Bhartikuup, Shivrampur, Chitrakootdham Karvi, Khoh, Bahilpurwa, Satna and Maihar.
5. Fair Special Train between Katni – Manikpur (32 services)
Train No. 09015 Katni-Manikpur Unreserved Mela Special train will depart from Katni station at 05:40 am from 12 January 2025 to 15 January 2025 (04 trips), 28 January 2025 to 30 January 2025 (03 trips), 02 February 2025 to 04 February 2025 (03 trips), 11 February 2025 to 13 February 2025 (03 trips) and 25 February 2025 to 27 February 2025 (03 trips) and will reach Manikpur station at 12:15 pm on the same day. (Total 16 trips) Similarly, train number 09016 Manikpur-Katni unreserved fair special train will depart from Manikpur station at 12:45 pm from 12 January 2025 to 15 January 2025 (04 trips), from 28 January 2025 to 30 January 2025 (03 trips), from 02 February 2025 to 04 February 2025 (03 trips), from 11 February 2025 to 13 February 2025 (03 trips) and from 25 February 2025 to 27 February 2025 (03 trips) and will reach Katni station at 20:50 pm on the same day. (Total 16 trips)
Stoppages:- Patwara, Jhukehi, Pakriya Road, Amdara, Bhadanpur, Maihar, Unchehra, Lagargawan, Satna, Sagma, Jaitwar, Khutha, Chithara, Majhgawan, Tikaria, Markundi, Baramafi and Bansapahar
6. Fair Special Train between Bina-Prayagraj (42 services)
Train No. 01817 Bina-Prayagraj Chheoki Mahakumbh Mela Unreserved Special train will operate from 13 January 2025 to 16 January 2025, 28 January 2025 to 5 February 2025, 11 February 2025 to 14 February 2025, and 25 February 2025 to 28 February 2025. This train will depart from Bina station at 11:00 am and will reach Prayagraj Chheoki station at 02:50 pm the next day via other stations en route.
Train No. 01818 Prayagraj Chheoki-Bina Mahakumbh Mela Unreserved Special train will operate from Prayagraj Chheoki station from 14 January 2025 to 17 January 2025, 29 January 2025 to 6 February 2025, 12 February 2025 to 15 February 2025, and 26 February 2025 to 1 March 2025. This train will depart from Prayagraj Chheoki at 3:45 pm and will reach Bina station at 17.30 pm via other stations en route.
7. Fair Special MEMU train between Bina – Katni
Train number 06603 Bina- Katni Mudwara Mahakumbh Mela MEMU unreserved special train will operate from 14 January 2025 to 28 February 2025. This train will depart from Bina station at 14:00 hrs and will reach Katni Mudwara station at 20:10 hrs on the same day via other stations on the route.
Train number 06604 Katni Mudwara-Bina Mahakumbh Mela unreserved special MEMU train will operate from Katni Mudwara station from 14 January 2025 to 28 February 2025. This train will depart from Katni Mudwara at 21:00 hrs and will reach Bina station at 04.15 hrs on the next day via other stations on the route.
The train will stop at several stations.
8. The train running between Itarsi-Prayagraj Chheoki was extended to Chunar station
Train No. 11273 Itarsi-Prayagraj Chheoki Express train from 10 January 2025 to 15 January 2025 (06 trips), 17 & 18 January 2025 (02 trips), 24 & 25 January 2025 (02 trips), 27 January 2025 to 04 February 2025 (09 trips), 07 & 08 February 2025 (02 trips), 10 February 2025 to 15 February 2025 (06 trips), 21 & 22 February 2025 (02 trips) and 24 February 2025 to 27 February 2025 (04 trips) Departing from Itarsi station at 17:15 hrs, reaching Prayagraj Chheoki at 09:55 hrs the next day morning, departing at 10:15 hrs, reaching Meja Road at 11:10 at 11:30, Manda Road at 11:30, Vindhyachal at 11:58, Mirzapur at 12:13 and will reach Chunar station at 13:30. (Total 33 trips)

Similarly, train number 11274 Prayagraj Chheoki-Itarsi Express train from 11 January 2025 to 16 January 2025 (06 trips), 18 and 19 January 2025 (02 trips), 25 and 26 January 2025 (02 trips), 28 January 2025 to 05 February 2025 (09 trips), 08 and 09 February 2025 (02 trips), 11 February 2025 to 16 February 2025 (06 trips), 22 and 23 February 2025 (02 trips) and 25 February 2025 to 28 February 2025 (04 trips) will depart from Chunar station at 16:30 pm and reach Mirzapur at 16:55, Vindhyachal at 17:13, Manda Road at 17:45, Meja Road at 18:08, Prayagraj Chheoki at 19:45 and depart at 20:15 at night and reach Itarsi station at 11:30 am the next day.
