CBSE Board Exam 2025 : The new year is going to start in a few days. There have been many changes in the education system in the year 2024. CBSE has also made many announcements. Changes have also been made in the exam pattern. This will affect those students who are going to appear in the 10th and 12th board exams to be held in the year 2025. The date of theory exam and practical exam has also been announced.
Apart from the examination, the Central Board of Secondary Education has made many announcements. For the first time, CBSE is going to open its regional office and center of excellence outside the country. The board has also announced to open a sub-regional office in Agartala, Tripura. Board exam date announced ( CBSE 10, 12 Board Exam Datesheet )
Class 10th and 12th board exams are going to start from 15 February 2025. The 10th exam will end on 18 March and 12th on 4 April 2025. Students can download the datesheet by visiting the official website.
When will the practical exam be held? (Practical Exam)
CBSE has also announced the date of 10th and 12th practical exams. Practical exams, internal assessments and project work will start from January 1, 2025.
Change in exam pattern (CBSE Board Exam Pattern)
The board has also updated the pattern of question papers this year under the National Education Policy 2020. The number of competency based questions has been increased in class 12th. These questions will test the practical knowledge of the students. CBSE has released sample papers.
CBSE made two announcements regarding security (CBSE News)
CBSE has made CCTV cameras mandatory in exam halls to prevent cheating. Schools that do not have CCTV cameras will not be made exam centers. Biometric authentication of students will be done at the exam centers. An agency will do digital fingerprint/photo capturing and face matching of students through data sent by CBSE. According to the official notification, 8000 schools will be made exam centers. More than 44 lakh students are going to participate in it.
CBSE announcement regarding attendance
Students whose attendance is less than 75% will not be allowed to appear in the 10th and 12th board exams. However, students participating in medical emergencies and sports events will be given a relaxation of up to 25%. They should also have important documents in this regard.
Special exam for those participating in sports
CBSE will conduct a special examination for students participating in international and national sports events and Olympiads . The board had issued a notice in this regard. The examination will be conducted within 15 days after the board examination.
