After DAP, now urea fertilizer is being sold to farmers at higher prices, no action is being taken, the responsible people are just doing the formality
The Madhya Pradesh government and administration may be making tall claims of providing farmers with adequate fertilizers at the right price and at the right time, but the reality on the ground is something else. These tall claims of the government and administration are not proving to be farmer friendly to any extent because questions like black marketing of fertilizers and corruption are spoiling these tall claims, which is somewhere becoming the reason for the problems of the farmers.

Dabra News: On one hand, the government is making various plans to double the income of farmers. On the other hand, before the farmers could recover from the shortage of DAP, urea fertilizer has started making them cry. A similar case is coming from Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh where irrigation work has started in the fields after sowing of crops.
In such a situation, urea is required for the wheat crop. But fertilizer is not available on searching at the committees. In such a situation, farmers are wandering from door to door. Farmers are taking fertilizer from wherever they are able to get it, no matter at what price it is available. Taking advantage of this opportunity, fertilizer traders of the area are selling fertilizer to farmers at higher prices and the officials and employees of the local administration and agriculture department are sitting in their offices with their eyes closed.
Let us tell you that in Dabra section, due to the negligence of the officials of the Agriculture Department and the local administration and the kindness of the fertilizer sellers, they are making huge profits by selling fertilizer to the farmers at prices higher than the base price.
A few days ago, due to the farmers of the section not getting sufficient quantity of DAP fertilizer, the farmers bought DAP fertilizer in black at higher prices. Not only this, even fake fertilizer was sold in the section, which is well known to the officials of the Agriculture Department, but despite that, due to the negligence and carelessness of the officials of the Agriculture Department and the local administration, now the farmers are forced to buy Urea fertilizer at higher prices, which is somewhere raising questions on the responsible officials.

Farmers accuse officials of corruption
At the same time, the farmers of the area have also raised many questions on the officers and administration of the Agriculture Department and while telling about the black marketing of fertilizers in the section, said that they have neither got DAP fertilizer in sufficient quantity at reasonable prices nor is Urea fertilizer available in sufficient quantity at reasonable prices.
Urea is being sold in black at ₹ 350 per bag. The farmers told that DAP fertilizer did not reach the society of their village, due to which they had to buy fertilizer in black from private shops and even if it had come, they were not given any information about it by the Gram Sevak. The farmers also told that the fertilizer that comes for them is sold in black to big people in large quantities.
Not only this, the farmers told that when they go to buy fertilizer from the private fertilizer seller, the farmers are given a bag of DAP fertilizer in black without putting finger on it for Rs 1700 to 1800 and the bag of Urea fertilizer is being given at the rate of ₹ 350 per bag, due to which the farmers are suffering a lot.
Why is it not possible to stop the black marketing of fertilizers
After all, why is the Madhya Pradesh government and administration not able to solve the problem of black marketing of fertilizers and the farmers? Because fertilizer sellers are becoming a burden on the pockets of the farmers. Such cases are also raising many questions on the monitoring of the local administration and the concerned officials of the Agriculture Department in the area. If the concerned officials and employees monitor the area from time to time and meet the farmers, then perhaps this kind of black marketing of fertilizers can be stopped and this problem can also be got rid of.
After investigation, assurance given to take appropriate action
On this entire issue, Agriculture Extension Officer Vishal Yadav has said that the shops will be inspected and if fertilizers are being sold at a higher price at any shop, then appropriate action will be taken against them.
