Farmer ID Registration: How to create a farmer ID? Know the complete process!

The Government of India has launched a new and important initiative for farmers – Kisan ID Card. This digital identity card will help farmers to easily avail the benefits of various government schemes and facilities. Kisan ID Card will be a unique identification number like Aadhar Card, which will be different for every farmer.

Under this new system, farmers will have to register themselves and get a digital farmer ID. This ID will be a centralized record of farmers’ personal information, land details and agricultural activities. This will help the government to reach out to farmers directly and provide them targeted assistance.

Kisan ID is a special identification card which is being issued by the Government of India for farmers. This ID card will help farmers to establish their identity and avail the benefits of various government schemes. Kisan ID will include the following information:

• Farmer’s name and photo
• Unique Farmer ID Number
• Land details (Khasra number, area etc.)
• Bank account statement
• Mobile Number
• Aadhaar Number

Eligibility for Farmer ID

Following are the eligibility criteria for Kisan ID:

• Applicant must be a citizen of India
• The applicant must be at least 18 years of age
• Applicant must have agricultural land (owned or leased)
• Applicant must have a valid Aadhaar card
• Applicant must have a bank account

Documents required for Kisan ID

Keep the following documents ready while applying for Kisan ID:

• Aadhar card

• Copy of bank passbook

Farmer ID Registration Process

Following is the process to register for Kisan ID:

1. Online Application:
   
   • Visit the government portal
   • Click on “New Registration”
   • Enter your mobile number and verify it with OTP
2. Fill in personal information:
   
   • Enter Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender etc
   • Provide Aadhaar number and PAN number (optional)
3. Give details of the land:
   
   • Fill in your agricultural land details
   • Provide information about Khasra number, area etc.
4. Fill in the bank details:
   
   • Enter the bank account number and IFSC code
5. Upload Documents:
   
   • Scan and upload all the required documents
6. Submit the form:
   
   • Check all the details
   • Agree to the declaration and submit the form
7. Check Application Status:
   
   • After submitting the application, you will get a registration number
   • You can check the status of your application online using this number.

Kisan ID Update & Renewal

To make any changes or updates in Kisan ID:

• Login to the online portal
• Select the “Update Profile” option
• Make the necessary changes and upload the new documents
• Confirm the change

Kisan ID has to be renewed every 5 years. The renewal process can be done online only.
