Khel Ratna Award 2024: The Sports Ministry has announced the National Sports Awards on Thursday. The ceremony will be organized at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 17 January 2025. During this, the players will be honored by President Draupadi Murmu. The ministry has announced the winners of the Major Dhyanchand Khel Ratna Award, Arjuna Award, Dronacharya Award, National Sports Promotion Award and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy.
This time four players will be awarded the Khel Ratna award. Young world champion in chess D Gukesh is also included in this. Manu Bhaker, who won bronze medal in shooting at the Paris Olympics, along with para-athletes Praveen Kumar and Harmanpreet Singh are also included in this list.

Physical Education Foundation of India has been awarded the Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar. Chandigarh University will be awarded the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy. The first runner up is Lovely Professional University. The second runner up is Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
