7.5% return will be available on 303 days FD, this government bank launched a new scheme, also changed the interest rates
The bank has launched two new FD schemes. It is offering 7% interest on a tenure of 303 days. New interest rates have also been implemented for regular FDs. Let's find out how much return you will get on a tenure of how many days?
Bank FD Scheme : As soon as the new year started, many banks have started changing the interest rates on fixed deposits. Some have even launched new FD schemes. Public sector Punjab National Bank has also been included in this list.
The bank has introduced two special FD tenures of 303 days and 506 days. It is also offering higher interest than other FDs. Senior citizens are offered 0.50% extra interest. The interest rates for term deposits of less than Rs 3 crore have also been changed. The new rates are effective from January 1, 2025.
How much return is available on the new FD scheme? (PNB Special FD Scheme)
PNB is giving 7% interest to general citizens on 303 days special AD. Whereas the interest rate for senior citizens is 7.50%. General citizens are getting 6.70% interest and senior citizens are getting 7.20% interest on 506 days FD. Let us tell you that the bank is offering 3.50% to 7.25 percent interest to general citizens on regular FDs for tenures ranging from 7 days to 10 years.

- 271 days to 299 days – 6.50%
- 300 days – 7.05%
- 301 to 302 days – 6.50%
- 303 days – 7%
- 304 days to less than 1 year – 6.50%
- Above 1 year and upto 399 days – 6.80%
- 400 days- 7.25%
- 401 to 505 days – 6.80%
- 506 days – 6.70%
- 507 days to 2 years – 6.80%
- Above 2 years and upto 3 years – 7%
- Above 3 years 1203 days- 6.50%
- 1204 days – 6.40%
- 1205 days to 5 years – 6.50%
- 5 years to 1894 days- 6.50%
